I have a really old clarion app that continues to work (Clarion 6 I think)
So the owners are wondering if bringing it up to Clarion 11 is worth the cost and effort. I notice Clarion 11 was last updated 2 years ago and the Softvelocity web site doesn't look updated since. Hence the question is Clarion dead as a current development tool?

Doug,
There's not many ppl checking c.l.c outside of the SV news server, you
might get a better answer on clarionhub.com

FWIW I never upgraded past 6.3 but then I've also never written a report
or wrote code in the last 20 years that's used a dictionary so I know
I'm in the minority

HTH,
Paul

current major version is now 11, and several sub-versions have been
released regularly.

Afaik the version 12 is due to arrive "soon"

As for that web site ..... don't look at it. It hardly gets an update
once in a while ...

I program with Clarion 6.3 but finally convert to Clarion 10 because under Windows 10 the Clarion 6,3 executable aborts some times unexpectedly under Windows 10. The app is quite large (about 1000 procedures).
